Software:

Big Brother -This software monitors system and network services for availability. Your current network status is displayed on a color-coded web page in near-real time. When problems are detected, you're immediately notified by e-mail, pager, or text messaging.

MRTG -The Multi Router Traffic Grapher is a tool to monitor the traffic load on network-links. MRTG generates HTML pages containing images which provide a LIVE visual representation of this traffic.

OpenBSD is a free UNIX-like operating system with an emphasize on proactive security and integrated cryptography. OpenBSD has had only one remote hole in the defualt install in the last 7 years. Think Microsoft and that is pretty impressive!

-Snort is a lightweight network intrusion detection system, capable of performing real-time traffic analysis and packet logging on IP networks.

TMDA: Tagged Message Delievery Agent is a software application used to fight SPAM. I have been using TMDA for almost a year and only get two or three SPAM messages a month. TMDA must be installed on a server, it s not meant to run on PC's.

Miscellaneous:

The SliMP3(Slim-'pE-'thrE) is an MP3 player that streams music over an Ethernet connection from a PC to your Home Stereo. It can be controlled by a remote control and/or by a web browser. I have one in my house and it is great! I can finally play and control my entire MP3 collection on my Home Stereo system. Check it out!

-Check them out. The best sunglasses in the world! I have been wearing my Aviators for 8 years and they are great. Ask anybody with a set that works around the water and they will tell you the same. Realized I was getting out of style, bought a new pair of Maui Jim's on our last vacation. I now own three pairs of these great sunglasses.
